Hi all,

In very near future I have to install Windows 7 on my MacBookPro due to lack of mac support on the university (using only mac causes some troubles with the software we use on this certain education). I have kept my old PC with Windows installed on it for one reason only: I have a 1.5 TB external harddrive with films, series etc. and I want to be able to add and remove large files from that hdd. So my question is:

Will installing Win7 on my Mac using VMWare Fusion 3.0 make me able to play around with my NTFS-harddrive, when I am inside Windows on my mac?

Thanks

You don't need to install Windows 7 in Fusion in order to access your 1.5 TB NTFS external hard drive. Unless you need Windows installed to run a particular Windows program, you can install a third party application that will allow you to have read - write access to the drive.

Paragon NTFS On sale right now for $19.95.

Or if your MBP is running Snow Leopard you can turn on read write support for NTFS with this free utility. ntfsMounter

Regards.
