Hi guys,

I am privately selling my current machine - Mac OS X Version 10.5.8

How do I go about doing a complete wipe so that it basically removes all purchased software and everything else that is currently on there... Also is there a way to make it so that when they first turn it on they can enter all their new info etc...

Cheers,

Back to my old 2.2GHz C2D MB after selling my MBP and wondering what my next Mac will be :)
Welcome to Mac Forums

Boot from the install disc holding C while booting.
Select language and click continue.
Select utilities>disk utility in the menu bar.
Select the HD at the top of the list on the left.
Click erase tab.
Format Mac Os Extended (Journaled).
Name Macintosh HD.
Click erase.
After the movie plays, and goes to the screen where you have to input information, click Apple key (command) + Q.
A box will pop up for you to select shutdown.

On the next restart, the setup assistant will come up with the welcome movie :)
