Hi
I was wondering if there is any way that one can take the hard drive from an old Apple Laptop (Clamshell Ibook (missing a power supply, Powerbook (1st Generation-powers up only when it wants to) and connect it to a MacBook Pro via USB for data retrieval. I know this question may be a bit far fetched by I believe there is such a USB cable for retrieving data from PC hard drives.
Thanks in advance.
J.

Sure. It can be done if you buy one of these.

If you want to make the old drive a more permanent backup, you can put it into an enclosure, where it'll be a little more secure, but it'll function the same way.
