Ok I have searched this on the forum and Google and found nothing, although I'm not really sure what to search
Basically when I watch a DVD it will stop at a random point and the optical drive makes noise like it is spinning up and down repeated for about 2 minutes (like a broken record) before it stops but won't continue playing, during this time you cannot eject the drive and you have to force quit DVD player. This seems to happen with all video DVD's (brand new, out the wrapper, non scratched legit DVD's) but not games or other media.
BTW this is on a Macbook pro 13" (mid 2009)
