Hello,

I have a couple of questions.
I recently installed a couple of dingbat fonts.
A couple of them have pictures for A-Z and 1-9.
However, I can only seem to get the pictures for 1-9 to display.
When I type the A-Z characters, a blank space is inserted instead of the graphic that corresponds to that alpha-key.
Why are only the number keys displaying their symbols and not the letter keys?

Also, in looking over my FontBook app, some of these newly introduced dingbat fonts have a dot next to their names. What is the significance of that?

Thanks,

Justin

OS 10.4.11 Font Issues?

Hi;

I'm running Tiger on an IMac, and the problem is when using MS, whatever font I select is replaced by another...If I select Helvetica, something called Calibri or Abadi MT Condensed Light takes over...unless I type the font name on the MS font area.

I ran Font Book, took care of all duplicate fonts. Deleted the bad ones.

One thing I don't understand is why there is a System, User, and Computer set of fonts? and Why when I turn some on in System, some of the fonts on User or Computer turn off?

When I use any Adobe products, the fonts work well...WHY?

Thanks for any help you could send my way!
