Saving streaming video

Hello, I am new to mac. I just bought a new 27" imac a few days ago. What I am trying to do is save the how-to videos on the apple website into my itunes library. If this is possible, I would like to transfer them to my ipad so I can watch the videos later at work where I have no wifi available. This will allow me to get a better understanding of the mac and the applications on my available time at work before I start asking too many questions that could be answered on those videos.

So, is it possible? One other question, why am not given the full screen option on my iMac when watching those videos at home? My ipad has no problem going to full screen, I am given the expand or full screen option on the video screen, its not there on the iMac.

Can't say for sure why the limited viewing area, it's to do with the player software I imagine.

There are generally YouTube versions of most of those videos, and YouTube videos are a lot easier to capture.

As for why no full screen on the web videos you are watching at Apple, their player software doesn't offer that option, that's all.
