I have a 3/12 year old Macbook Pro that has recently begun crashing after extended use. All applications will close as it quickly jumps to a light blue screen, and then back to a blank desktop. It usually takes a while before it begins crashing, but once it starts it happens frequently.
Here are the first few lines of the crash report.
Process: loginwindow [28]
Path: /System/Library/CoreServices/loginwindow.app/Contents/MacOS/loginwindow
Identifier: loginwindow
Version: ??? (???)
Code Type: X86-64 (Native)
Parent Process: launchd [1]
Date/Time: 2010-07-21 03:49:43.540 -0600
OS Version: Mac OS X 10.6 (10A432)
Report Version: 6
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x00000001005ca0a0
Crashed Thread: 0 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread
Any advice? It would be much appreciated.
