I've inherited an HP ScanJet IICX scanner practically brand new, still in the box, but without instructions. It uses a SCSI cable. It would be nice to be able to hook it up to my MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo running OS 10.5.7. Obviously, I'll need something to adapt the SCSI cable to either my USB port or my FireWire port.

Can this be done? If yes, how do I do it?

Thanks.

Very difficult to find a SCSI to USB adapter. Apparently Amazon has stocked them at one time. Here's the LINK, however, they are currently out of stock.

And, even if you do find an adapter, you will still need an OS X driver for the HP ScanJet II. You might want to check with HP first before you start looking for the adapter.

Regards.
