No application support for iPhoto

I get a message saying "At least one theme must be installed", so I ltried to custom install after trying to register my old iLife '08 software and I didn't have the marketing product number so I had to abort and now I can't open the install package. i think I registered before, but thought I'd confirm that by reregistering. Is Apple able to prevent this, thinking my disc isn't paid for? How do I get it to open? All I have is the disk and I am unsure how I paid for it. I guess I'll have to look for the receipt. That was over a year ago, I think.

Any suggestions?

What Mac do you have, what OS, etc.

I take it you're trying to install iLife 08? No, Apple isn't preventing you from installing.

Please try to clarify and amplify what you're trying to say, your post really doesn't make a lot of sense.
