Hi guys!
Just a quick one, to see if anyone has any experience in this before i do a reinstall. I have a 24" iMac running Leopard and Windows 7, which was running beautifully. Hadnt turned it on in a few weeks and when i went to, i noticed that Windows wouldnt get past the 'Starting windows' screen. Have done safe mode, full system restore etc but no luck. When i gave up with that i tried to start up in Mac OS only to find that its also stuck on the 'Apple logo' screen. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds like it might be a hardware problem. Possibly hard drive related.

Boot the machine with your Leopard DVD and run a Verify and Repair on the hard drive. After the machine boots from the DVD, don't go into the install routine but instead select Utilities, Disk Utility from the top menu. Click on the First Aid tab and select Verify and Repair.

Let us know.

Regards.

Thanks for your help mate. Not sure how, but everything is back working fine now. All i did was boot from the DVD, do the verify and repair (said it seemed ok) and now both OS's work fine. Must be some strange bug, but at least now i have everything backed up. Thanks mate!
