Ipod classic problem

Macbook won't recognise ipod. When you connect it the ipod says connected on the ipod and stays on that screen. Have reset the ipod but nothing also tried connected it in 'disc mode' but still nothing. The itunes is up to date

Maybe that's Apple's way of telling you to upgrade?

Have your tried other software like Songbird - Welcome or Sync Android, PSP, BlackBerry, Pre: doubleTwist with Amazon MP3
