Hello,

A friend has just changed from PC to the latest iMac. He has several DVDs made on his PC that the iMac doesn't recognise - is there any software available (without installing Windows), to play these on the iMac?

Thanks...BC

Interesting. You don't say what he has tried, but VLC player will usually play anything thrown at it, so start there.

What are the DVDs comprised of? If they're video DVDs, they should be fine. Data DVDs may vary depending on how they were finalized.

It looks like they might be data DVDs after all (he can't remember), because VLC just doesn't want to know:

Yes, data DVD's, so, as was said, the way they were finalised probably makes them unreadable on the Mac.
