Upon starting my iBook G4 i'm regally confronted with a message that the internal clock is set to the default date!
The Battery is fully charged.
Must confess i've not seen msg when set to sleep mode, and then awoken.
I "believe" there is no internal battery or capacitor on this model (like PC's) but i'm baffled.
All/Any help appreciated.

All models of the iBook, iBook G4, and 12" PowerBook G4s do not have an internal backup battery.

They do however have a small capacitor to maintain the clock just long enough for one to swap the battery.

As for the internal time resetting itself... short of you taking the battery out without the AC plugged in, I'm not seeing a reason why it would reset.
