I have tried to search previous threads, with keywords typed in about 15 different ways, and I always get "No items match..." - hard to believe - so I must be searching incorrectly.
Anyway, I am trying to figure out how to use my HP3330 all-in-one as a flat-bed scanner (or any scanner for that matter) on my Macbook (Macbook5,1, 2.4 GHz core 2 duo) running OSX (10.6.4). I have tried the printer installed as both an IP printer (socket) and a local printer (USB), together and separately, with no luck. It prints fine both ways, but there are no signs that the hardware is recognized as a scanner either way.

THere is no support for that printers scanner on OSX, not even the third party VueScan supports it.

The only way I can think is to run windows on the mac, to install the windows drivers that support scanning
