Keyexpress is a macro program for pc's. Is there such available for the mac?

What exactly do you need the macros to do? It might be possible with Automator which is already installed on your Mac.

As I'm on forums a lot, I use a product called Typinator to store phrases I frequently use.

Typinator is one of many such programs. In Snow Leopard you can even put a few phrases directly into the system, though its not as versatile as Typinator (et al).

Where do I find Typinator. I looked in applications and in utilities in applications and it is not in either of those places. What do I need it for: one example would be typing in a user name and password, an address, etc.
