I am new to the forum so if this is in the wrong secion my apologies to the mods.

Is there any forex platform or program that will work on a mac os osx? I am wanting to get a mac but that is the one thing that I have not found yet and is holding me back. I really dont want to run windows on the mac as I would prefer to completely leave windows behind. I currently use OANDA for trades and MT4 for charting. I could just use a windows computer for the sole purpose of running the charting software but again I prefer not to. Any suggestions would be great!

You're posting in the correct forum. As far as Forex trading software for OS X is concerned, it's a mixed bag. I know you said you would rather not load Windows on your Mac, but for Forex, Windows software has it all and it's probably what you're used to anyway.

My advice: Run your Windows Forex software from a VM using one of the virtual machine software packages for OS X. VMWare Fusion, Parallels, and the free VirtualBox software from Sun will all work well enough.

Regards.

Thanks for the info. In that case I will probably use my current pc as a dedicated forex pc and just use it for my charting software because to my understanding since oanda is java I can access it in safari. Thanks!
