iPhone Cruise Trouble

I went on a cruise last year and there was a setting on my iphone that ended up costing me a ton of Cash becuase my data kept roaming off the cruise ships antenna, can someone show me where I can turn that feature off, Im going on a cruise next week and I dont want this happening again.

Settings-->General-->Network:

Turn "Data Roaming" to Off.

That should do it I think. Is this an international cruise?

Dude, you're gonna be on a cruise. Turn the phone Off. ;)

It should be noted that "Data Roaming" is set to OFF by default, so just don't turn it ON.

And yes, MYmacROX is right -- you really should not be using your iPhone as a phone OR internet device on a cruise. Airplane Mode should do the trick.

Sorry you had to find out after the fact. Cruise ships are notorious for charging astronomical fees for phone service and forget the data connectivity. Only use the phone for emergencies when on a cruise ship. It is not worth it in any other case.
