Apple 15 inch studio display question

iMac g5 1.8ghz 1 gb ram iBook G4 1.2ghz 768 mb ram
hey i just bought a studio display off of ebay, in hpe of using it with my ibook and imac. will it work with these? or only with powermacs? my imac is a g5 and ibook is a g4.

u might need an expensive adapter. someone else should know more about this than me

It will not work with the iMac or iBook


The Studio Displays use ADC connections which are only found on older powermacs. You can get a DVI->ADC adapter to allow you to use it on DVI enabled computers (which iMacs and iBooks are not). iMacs and iBooks have mini-VGA ports which require an adapter to give you VGA funcitionality but there is nothing for mini-VGA -> DVI

That goes from DVI -> VGA

He needs ADC -> VGA which I posted above

ur rite! thanks for showing that it could be done for me. i know i seen it done befor
