• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I can't do it for some reason... The clips i want to speed up are long, (about an hour) would that have anything to do with it? But anyway, I saw this one guide that says iMovie may have to convert the clip before you can speed it up, but I don't even have the option to do that. Would a screencap help?

Here's one if you need it;

I'd really appreciate some help.

No, if the clip is already playable in iMovie, then all you have to do is select it, open the video inspector ("v" key as a shortcut), choose "Clip" and set the speed.

It didn't work.

I still couldn't get it to show up. It'll play, but I can't get the speed adjustment bar to show up. D:

See?

You are looking at clips in your EVENT library. You will only get the window I posted when you are actually editing a PROJECT.
