Ok i know where to look on my backup to see all my itunes folders but my direct question is, which folder should i drag from my Ext HD to my new MBP so when i go to launch iTunes all my music is there ...

I have done a search but could be there for a while as to how to ask the search engine and it being very specific results could vary quite considerably

Cheers

Is it a TimeMachine backup?
If it is, couldn't you just open the TimeMachine application and just restore the whole iTunes folder?

Otherwise, you will need to copy the whole >users>youruser>music>iTunes folder so that all your playlists/ratings will be preserved.
