I have a new macbook pro and would like to also have windows 7 available. Someone told me that boot camp comes with the computer which is the same as parallel. I can't find bootcamp on the computer but I saw parallel in the store. Which is better? Is it also possible to clone the drive with both OS's to a external backup for safety?

The quickest explanation is that Bootcamp requires you to reboot in order to access your Windows partition, while Parallels allows you to remain in your Mac partition while accessing the Windows partition in an application window.
