hello,

a recent convert to all things mac (very happy!), i've a problem hooking up to my printer at work.

the set up is;

wireless network
macbook pro 15" i5
canon ir 3180 ci copier / printer

all other windows users can talk to it.

i have downloaded the mac driver from the canon support website and attempted to add the printer through system preferences. search does not find it, i have also entered the ip address of the printer.

i'd really appreciate if anyone can suggest anything at all as i'm having to lug around a chunky hp all in one printer with me which really spoils the whole cool mac look!

james.

To setup the Canon printer on your wireless network so that it can be used by your Mac try hooking it up first via USB cable so that it can be "seen". Then load the drivers for wireless following Canon's instructions. See if that helps.

Regards.
