Hey, this is my first post, may be in the wrong category, sorry about that.
I have a black mac book and im trying to get surround sound on my samsung HT-Z510 surround sound system, when i have my computer connected to my tv.
i recently bought a Toslink to i believe mini Toslink cable and it gives me sound on my system but only when its connected to my headphone jack on my laptop. it also only uses the front 2 speakers on my surround sound system. Is there some setting I have to change to make it 5.1 surround sound or is that not possible on the mac.
