two problem about iphone 4

1) I now have a question about the proximity sensor, when dialling from the contacts list the screen goes dark as it should but if I manually type a number in and dial it the screen stays on, is it just me? I thought that during any call the screen would go dark so nothing could be pressed by accident.
Anybody?

2)Which software can convert tivo to iphone 4?
TiVo's converters for mobile devices are terrible

Anytime you are on a phone call and the proximity sensor detects something in front of it, the display shuts off. It's irrelevant how the call was made, just that you are using the phone to your ear as opposed to speakerphone or Bluetooth.
