Can I daisy-chain these two?

My 500 GB eHDD is nearly out of space. I am considering a NAS with a mirror or another eHDD.

Can I daisy chain any kind of USB eHDD? I have a Lacie Quadra drive and am considering a Lacie Grand.

Your Mac's Specs
MacMini 14.3, 8.1 & 4.1, OS 13.5, 10.14, & 10.11 & 10.6; Macbook Pro 8.2, OS 10.12.
No, you can't daisy-chain USB. You can however use a powered USB2 hub. For daisy-chaining you need firewire connectivity. FW is superior for external devices anyway.
