Every iMac made beginning with the G5 in Aug of 2004 has had optical out.
Don't have a clue what a Turtlebeach X41 happens to be. But, if your iMac is newer than that listed above and if the Turtlebeach has an optical input you need a mini-toslink to toslink adapter or cable like any one of these.
The audio port on all the last few years of iMacs and notebooks is a combo analog and optical out.
