I synced my iphone and got a message saying that i didn't have enough room left for all the songs I added. So then it asked me another question. I thought it was something along the lines of "do you want to search itunes and select songs to remove in place of the new ones?" But maybe I read it wrong cause all the songs from my library are there and I don't know what itunes got rid of to make room. Can anyone tell me what the message actually asked?

Solution:

1. Make a smart playlist in iTunes. Call it "for the iPod" or whatever. Fill it up to (X) gb with random tracks. (X) should be something considerably less than the capacity of your iPod.

2. Connect your iPod. Change the music sync to only sync music from that smart playlist.

3. Click "Apply."
