Mini (early 2009) having issue connecting DVI monitor

Just bought a Viewsonic VA2431wm monitor and want to connect using DVI. Nothing will display. It will display on D-SUB. DVI works fine on monitor...tested on different PC. Apple store replaced mini-DVI converter.

What am I missing? :Confused:
