I was replacing the fan on my MacBook Pro 2.2 (A1226) and when I popped the plug up, the entire connector popped off the board and broke in half. I guess it had gotten too hot......the local mac shop said he would attempt to solder another one if I found the part.

Any help would EXTREMELY appreciated.

Thanks Renee

Your Mac's Specs
Back to my old 2.2GHz C2D MB after selling my MBP and wondering what my next Mac will be :)
I'm not certain, but I'd think that the only way you would achieve this is to get hold of a dead logic board that you can get the fan connector from, as it is part of the logic board.
I would go about this by contacting apple service centres, and seeing if you have any luck there.
