iPOD Mini Questions

I just got a iPOD Mini 6GB. I am loving it so far... Anyway, I was wondering is there a way to use the iPOD as a usb disk drive? I know in windows you can use most mp3 players as a drive and store files on there. Is it posible, I automatically assumed I would be able to. I opened the finder and dont see it. But it does show up in the ITUNES source list so I know it is connected.
