OS 10.6 Installation Stalls before completion

OS 10.6: I am trying to upgrade my MacPro from 10.5 to 10.6. The installation stalled with 14 minutes left. It has not changed for 90 minutes. The CD drive will not open and the mouse and keyboard are inactive. What can I do to (1) complete the installation, or (2) abort the installation and return to OS 10.5?

Problem solved. Turned off the MacPro, turned it back on and found that the OS 10.6 install had succeeded. Don't know why the screen was stuck on "14 minutes left."
