iBook Dual USB - Tiger Install

Hey, I'm wondering if someone can tell me what's going on here. I'm trying to install OS X Tiger on an iBook (dual USB model). When I boot the installer I get stuck with a blue screen and the spinning circle. Any idea as to what could be causing this?

What sort of install disk are you using...what color is it?

They are back-ups that came with the computer when i purchased it second hand. A set of 4 CD's.

When you say "backups" do you mean that they are not the original disks...but copies of the original disks?

If they are the original disks that came with the computer...what color are they?...this is VERY important and not just an aesthetic question.

Another possible problem is you purchased this computer 2nd hand...so unless you have personal knowledge of the history of this computer...these disks may or may not be the originals (or copies of the originals) that came with the computer.

Sorry for the late response, the person who sold it to me told me they were his own personal backups of a Tiger CD set he had owned, that's all I know. 4 CDs.
