finding iworks

I am sorry for this very simple question but I am new to my imac and I can't find iworks. I thought this was supposed to come with it. Thanks for your help

Sorry, iWorks does not come with new machines. The iLife suite does.

A demo use to come preinstalled, don't know if they still do that or not.

Thanks for the help. I looked in applications and did not even see ilife.
I guess I have to buy one or the other in order to use word processing.

iWork includes Pages for word processing. If the rather reasonable cost is still an issue, there's Open Office, which is a free download.

P.S. You wouldn't find anything installed called iWork or iLife anyway. Instead, you'll find the applications that make up the "suite" of software.

Thanks again for your help I might try the free one.
I did download the 30 day trial of iwork 09.
