Hi,

I just tried to mount my first iso on a dual layer Verbatim DVD-R and it wasn't overly successful. It was supposed to be a software package which boots up to install but I checked the disk when it was done and it had just copied the file across and was listed as an iso file. I used disk utility in Snow Leopard, Macbook Pro Unibody, I'm pretty sure I did everything correctly, it just didn't work out. Anyone know why this happened?

Cheers

As bobtomay has noted, it sounds as if you have simply burned the image to the disc which is very different than burning the iso as an image. If you burn the iso as an image, the disc should contain numerous files as opposed to simply the iso.
