Hello everyone,
I just purchased the iphone 4 today and I think I may have done something to damage it. I put a pin inside the hole on the top of the iphone next to the headphone jack thinking the hole was the release for the SIM card tray (like in previous models).
I later learned this hole is actually the 2nd microphone for noise cancellation and Facetime. I pushed the pin in moderately hard.
Can anyone with knowledge of how the iphone is build or engineered tell me whether doing something like this damaged the mic? Could the pin have touched some sensitive mechanisms? Thanks.
