What I did to get around the backup problem

Your Mac's Specs
Mac Pro 4,1 --> 5,1 6 Core X5680
I just did a restore and update or whatever and then when it finished I just restored it from a previous backup from today. Restoring right now and Ill let you guys know how it works out.

I dont know if this is good for the iPhone though or if it will work with the older back up, so do this at your own risk.
