Mac virus?

Hi, I was trying to find a good proxy server (I live in Dubai and a lot of sites are blocked) and followed a few links. I've now got a problem, whereby whatever I click on my computer is accompanied by a computer voice telling me what I've just clicked, and a black box outlines everything that I'm clicking on.

Can anyone help, anything similar happened to them? I've just searched the computer with ClamXav and found nothing...

Thanks in advance

No virus..I think you've managed to enable Apple - Accessibility - VoiceOver - In Depth somehow..

Go to System Preferences->Universal Access and see if VoiceOver is turned on, if so, turn it off and all of that should stop..

Regards

Raz0r has the correct answer.

btw: You can get out of that Windows mind set now. You know... that one that says every time something happens you don't understand with your computer it's a virus - sorry, not on your Mac. :D

The appropriate way with your Mac is just describe the issue and ask for the solution. That way, the title of your thread would be something to do with the real issue at hand also.

But my battery level is getting low on my MBP, doesn't that mean I have a virus?? ;)

Raz0rEdge is correct. You must have accidently hit the keys that enable VoiceOver. Open System Preferences and Universal Access. Turn off VoiceOver Off.

Now Harry, YOU have a virus. Not your Mac. :D
