I am selling my 13" macbook pro and i am going to be formatting the computer for the buyer.

I remember when i bought the Snow Leopard disc and install it, i assumed that it would wipe everything from the HDD, but it didn't; It just kind of updated the OS to SL 10.6.

My Question: What is the specific option that i need to select in order to completely wipe the HDD and install a clean version of Snow Leopard.

Thanks in advance!!

P.S. - I'm looking forward to my ALL NEW 15" Macbook Pro w/ core i7 processor!!

Boot your MBP with the SL DVD but instead of going thru the installation routine, go to the top menu and select Utilities, Disk Utilities. Erase the hard drive, format it as HFS+ Extended Journaled, GUID. Name the hard drive MacIntosh HD. After it finishes you can proceed to the Snow Leopard installation.

Regards.
