Hi
I have just purchased a pre-loved MacBook Pro 15.4/2.53GHz with no operating system installed. Where can I get the correct operating system software and how do I install it?

thanks for any suggestions

Where to get: Apple.com or your nearest Apple Store

How to install: Insert disk...follow the on screen instructions.

i got Mac OS X Snow Leopard @ Best Buy for $29.99 (and it's the same price @ the Apple store (and likely other stores as well) i'm still baffled by how cheap it is...

That's because you bought the upgrade version. He will need the full boxed version which includes iLife. I believe that will cost around $129.00 (Amazon) or maybe more depending on who you purchase it from.
