I discovered last night that my cooling fans are not functional on my Macbook Pro (A1150). Is there any way to figure out if the fans are bad or if I have to replace the thermal sensors? Any help would be great!

Thank you.

Is your machine still under warranty? If it is, take it on in to Apple and let them deal with it. If not, you'll have to open the machine up and inspect the fans. It could possibly be nothing more than dirt and dust clogging the fans so that they rotate very slowly or not at all. It could also be a problem with the thermal sensors. Go the ifixit web site and look up the "take apart" instructions for your model MBP. Or look for the instructions on how to change out the fans.
