It seems I can get this through my employer for about £8.

Is it worth it? Any better than the Mac version of OpenOffice?

Are you referring to MS Office 2008? (Probably) Anyway, if you can get it for that price, go for it. Is it better than Open Office? I think so simply because there's no problem with compatibility.

However, MS Office 2008 does not support VBS (macros). That will return with the new version to be released later this year. If you need macro support, it might be best to stick with Open Office.
