Hi,
I've just bought a 2010 MBP, i am having minor problems with connectivity both at home and in the work place.
First of all, at home, i have D-Link DIR-615 Wireless N Router. The MBP just wouldn't connect to it using WEP so i changed to WPA2 which it did connect but is extremely slow even though signal is 100%, it also randomly drops connection. Are macs incompatible with some routers? maybe there is some settings i can change to make it work better with a mac?
Second, at work we are behind a proxy server so i've entered the details for http, https and ftp.
http - works fine
https - works sometimes, it seems if i go in and re enter the settings it works for a moment then hangs. certain https sites work and certain sites don't.
ftp - can't get connected to any ftp site what so ever. it just times out.
note: they all work fine on windows with the same proxy settings? so why wont it connect on the mac?
I'm not overly familiar with the back end of OSX so i may have missed something?
The firewall is ISA Server.
