Unwanted speck check corrections

How do I remove or change unwanted spell check entries? For example, when I type the word "as" it wants to change it to "A's"...for what reason I have no idea. How to I remove or change this to what I want it to be? Thanks...

No help here - don't do much typing on my phone, but I ultimately had to turn off spell checking on my iPad - it just tried changing too many words to something I didn't want and if you hit the space bar instead of the stupid x to tell it you don't want that, well... you know.
