Hidden Folders

how can i view hidden folders in the finder? i know how to view them in the terminal, so i know that they're there. (the folders with a . before them) I know the path name, but unlike windows there is nowhere where i can enter the path and go to that folder. how can i view these folders/files?

You will need a third party application. I just forget the name of the application at this moment.

you can use the finder. Do comand/applle +f then select visiblility to be visible and invisible items. search for a folder you know is invisible like usr. Then you can just add that folder to your shortcuts (its on the left of all finder windows on os 10.3) I needed access to stuff in there (tomcat, etc. ) so I just have that little shortcut.

Does that make sense?

defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles YES

whack that into a terminal window the restart finder
