Hello guys,

I've been having this problem for a long time now. Google Maps hasn't been working properly for the past couple of months. Everything loads very slowly whenever I try to zoom in on a particular part of the map. When I try to activate street view by dragging the little orange man, I see a black screen instead of the street view. Nothing works.

I have tried:
1) Uninstall/Reinstall Safari
2) Uninstall/Reinstall Flash
3) Removing Google-related cookies.
4) Removing Arial fonts within the FONTS folder. This is something I found on Google.

Nothing works.

I am running:

Snow Leopard 10.6.3.
Safari 5. Although it started back in Safari 4.
iMac 21.5 inches.

Is there a question in there?

I have another one:
Have you tried a different browser?

Try deleting Google Maps cookies.

Done that, and it's not working. Situation now is that I can't even load maps properly. Grey squares show up instead of, well, the maps.

I will give that a shot when I get home. Curiously, Google Maps works on my 2007 Macbook and not my 2010 iMac. Hmm.

I've been having this problem for a long time now.

That makes it hard to pinpoint. Could be a conflict with Snow Leopard that Google hasn't addressed. Define "a long time". Maybe that will help you recall something else that has changed in the interim.
