I recently purchased a mbp and am looking to upgrade from Iphoto to Aperture 3. Since I already have Iphoto..do I qualify for the $100 discount?

Sadly, I don't think you do: from here -

Aperture 3 Upgrade - Apple Store (U.K.)

The requirements are:

The Aperture 3 upgrade requires one of the following: a commercial version of Aperture 1.0 or later; or an academic version of Aperture 2.0 or later. Not-For-Resale (NFR) versions are not eligible for the upgrade.

I.e. when they talk about "upgrade" they mean upgrading from an earlier version of Aperture, not from iPhoto.
