iBook Resolution Hack?

Did I read on here somewhere that there was a hack that would let you increase the resolution on your iBook if you want to use a 2nd monitor? I tried a search but couldn't find it.

There is only a hack that allows you to use screen spanning, nothing for resolution as far as i know

screen spanning is abble to see your computer on 2 monitors each monitor is like a part of a puzzle half of the imaage is on one monritor and the other is on another monitor

i'm not interested in spanning, just increasing the resolution.

i've read some stuff about this hack damaging your ibook. does anyone use it?

I am going to upgrade to Tiger. Does this hack work ok with Tiger?

I was wondering, since this can void your warranty, how will Apple know if you used it, then deactivated it?
