Has anyone heard when 10.7 is coming out? I heard in about a year to a year and a half.

Kind of pointless to speculate. As far as we know, 10.7 doesn't even exist (at the very least, it doesn't have any stated design goals).

Most evidence shows that it is in early stages of internal testing. I know its pointless to speculate but its fun so why not :) My opinion, about fall 2011.

Now a more fun question than time frame... what will have changed? Last update was just performance focused, which to me indicates we may see some UI changes too?

Apple has slowed down its releases. If I had to venture a guess, I would say it's going to be two years after the release of Snow Leopard, so like dudeking said, Fall 2011.

Well, we do know it exists. Ars Technica has reported web traffic reporting 10.7 as host OS.

I can force my browser to report 10.8 if I want to, or SuperduperstupendousOS 5015. Now, that's probably not the case -- but again, it hasn't even been announced yet, so I'm not sure why we need a thread to guess the release date.

Well, yea. I am totes running OS X 10.3489230489238904239084902384! But I'm pretty sure it's some dude browsing with a developer build. :p

But yea, I agree. Though maybe after tomorrow we will know something about it? *heres hoping for misdirection from the steve making people think wwdc will be all about the iphone!*
