Hi

I just puchased a second 1tb external hdd to use with time machine, but when i plug it in it wants to backup everything on my macbook pro - 480gb worth.

I know this is what its designed to do, but my first 1tb hdd which i used for time machine also currently has my latest backup on it and is now full.

Therefor how do I tell my second hdd to backup current files to date, since my last backup is on my first drive. Does this make sense. If so please help!

+1one for both SD and CCC , but you should only need one drive for TM as it will delete the oldest back-ups when it gets full and needs more room there by just keeping the latest back-ups.
