Hi everyone,
I am running a PowerMac Dual 2.0 GHz G5 with OS 10.4.11. I have been having the hardest time finding a solution to pair my Plantronics headset with my Mac. I have tried several Bluetooth USB dongles, most recently the D-link DBT-120 and everytime I go to pair the headset, I get the error: "Failed to set up the headset. Headsets are not supported on your Bluetooth hardware." I have the most up to date bluetooth firmware and software on my Mac:
Software: 1.9.5f4
Firmware: 3.1915
I read in the support article:
Bluetooth Software 1.5 for Mac OS X: Information and Download
"Headset support requires a Bluetooth enabled headset and either an internal Apple Bluetooth module or a D-Link DBT-120 rev. B or later."
so I understand why the 2 other cheap USB bluetooth dongles didn't work with headsets, but even after buying a new D-link dbt-120, I STILL get the error...any thoughts??? Thanks in advance!
